FEBRUARY 2010

2010 sees the return of many of the colours and furnishings from the past, flowers of course will echo this………..

Firstly, you will see a greater influence from Africa, with deep ‘root’ colours, like amber, red and coral together with shades of the ocean, azure blue through to deep teal. The addition of gold, emerges as a distinctive feature that complements many shades and adds the finishing sophisticated touch. Vessels in all metallic shades or clear glass will enhance the vibrancy of these colours.

Secondly, the ‘vintage look’ never dates! Flowers styled as though ‘just picked from the garden’ in pastel shades with a splash of bold colour for impact, look simple, yet stunning, in aged stone containers.

A natural look with grasses, branches, twigs and berries in creams, greens and browns styled in twig basket vessels, again with a few bright colours, such as aubergine or raspberry, is another big anticipated trend for 2010.

Once again you will see simple, structured displays, showing clean lines using orchids and lilies. Always a sophisticated and elegant look.

As you can see 2010 sees something for everyone and every home!
